FLUORO LIGHTING BENEFITS
Benefits of the IFR system include:
- Energy reduction – lower electricity bills.
Independently tested to reduce energy usage by approx 40%.
On 500 light fittings this represents a savings up to $20,000 pa.
An average twin light fitting uses 86 watts per hour (including tubes and ballast)
The IFR uses 58 watts per hour (including tubes and ballast), and incorporates a 60,000 hour ballast with IC control. - 3 Year /25,000-hr warranty
- Higher Lux levels
The IFR employs an A1-style ballast, using 3 watts instead of the more common B2 ballast found in Australia that uses 7-8 watts. This means the IFR has 26 watts to power the tube instead of 20 watts, which results in higher light output. - Lights are easily retro fitted
The IFR can fit into nearly all existing fluorescent applications. It’s as simple as changing a bulb as the light fits into the existing fitting. - Huge savings compared to new T5 light fittings
Fitting IFR’s into an existing fitting saves up to 50% of the price (compared to a new T5 fitting) - Massive reduction of carbon emissions
Through the installation of the IFR, carbon emissions will be reduced. This represents over 150 tonnes of carbon saved per year for every 500 light fittings. - Longer tube life means less maintenance.
The IFR comes with two tube options: - 15,000 hour life
- 30,000 hour life
- No starters required
As the IFR does not use starters it eliminates annoying flicker or huge influx of energy when starting. This will also help reduce demand factors on customers electricity bill. - Less light derogation
T5 tubes are designed to produce up to 90% of their original light for up to 90% of the entire tube life.
SAFETY FEATURES
As well as performance it is essential to ensure all aspects of safety. There are several major features with the IFR. These include:
- Thermal Cut Out Fuse – In the event of a fault that could cause overheating, this safety feature permanently switches off power to the device, preventing any possible fire risk.
- Pre-Heat – Pre-heat ensures tube life expectations are met. Prior to ignition, the ballast heats the cathode to its optimum temperature for electron emission. After a defined period, the lamp is ignited with the required ignition voltage. Only an optimised preheat start can guarantee that the number of switching cycles has minimal effect on the lamp life.
Our standard Ballast allows for 10,000 switching cycles with the high performance version capable of 80,000 switching cycles (Note: High performance ballast produced to order. Minimum production quantity 10,000 units). - End-of-life protection – the device will automatically switch off if it detects a faulty T5 tube or if connections to the tube are compromised. This protects the internal circuitry and automatically resets the circuit to normal operation when the faulty tube is replaced.
- Internal safety fuse – the adapter has an internal quick blow safety fuse, that disconnects the unit from the mains supply on a circuit failure.
- Over-voltage protection – should the mains supply experience a power spike,built-in over voltage protection on the ballast circuitry protects the ballast from damage.
- Semi-conduction protection – all semi-conductors on the ballast circuitry have diode protection installed.
- Less hazardous material
Our bulbs use solid mercury not gaseous mercury. A standard T8 tube uses approx 5 mg of mercury - the IFR uses 3mg. This is better for both human health and the environment. Smaller tubes also mean less cost when disposing of tubes.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Prior to packing and shipment, every IFR Adaptor is subject to a rigorous inspection process, this includes:
- High Voltage testing
To meet Australian standards, the insulation on the adaptors must withstand voltage of 4,200v, without the insulation breaking down. This test is carried out on every adaptor prior to packing and shipping. - Infant mortality
This is a term applied to electronic components and equipment. Up to 95% of faults occur in the first 2 hours of operation of electronic equipment. Every IFR adaptor is powered with its tube in place for a minimum of 2 hours prior to packing and shipping. - Install failures/average life
As the result of stringent QA practices and use of quality branded subcomponents in our IFR adaptors, failure rates on installation are less than .001% and average life is in excess of 35,000 hours.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
- Increases the ‘Green Star’ rating of your building
A one star increase in the green rating of your building can automatically increase the book value of your asset by up to 20%. Retro fitting our IFR’s to your building assists in achieving a star rating at the lowest commercial cost. - Significant reduction of heat output
The IFR runs much cooler than a standard T8 light. Therefore less load on your air-conditioning, which in turn reduces air conditioning running costs. - Emissions Trading Scheme
To ensure our customers receive every benefit available, CER will undertake to design an abatement program our lights – this enables you to create a new income stream through the sale of carbon credits.
LEASING OPTION
- No CapEx issues - three year lease to own with $1.00 buy out.
We have the only lease plan available in the market for lights. This means all payments are 100% tax deductable and no cappex requirement. - You receive financial benefits from the first month.
In many cases the repayments will be either close to or even less than the savings so the financial rewards will be apparent from the first month. - No interruption to cash flow
We have even delayed the first payment by one month so you will receive the savings in your electricity bill prior to making the first lease payment.
